This is a large knife -- 1.40" opening. It would be unusual to need a knife this large.
(The photo is of the 1.20, but order here to get the 1.40" knife.)
IMPORTANT NOTE: You must use the Large Funnel Plunger with the 1.40" and 1.45" knives. Do not use the Large Funnel Plunger witk knives smaller than 1.35" or you will dull the cutting edge.
The stainless steel Annular Knife is where the kernel meets the cutter. Size it based on the size of the cob. Note that most varieties of sweet corn have consistent cob sizes no matter how large the kernels get. One size Annular Knife should work for almost all the ears from any given variety.
